Question: Russ, first paragraph at top of of 173 of BoC, here’s what it reads:

I figured the two deaths were when we moved from Scale 2 to 1 to 0. Why is it a “death” to go from 0–>1 or 1–>2 vs the other way? Why does getting more granular in our sensing, moving, feeling feel like death rather than the other way?

If it’s a death to go from left to right on the scales, then we are concerned with more and more fine-tuned connection with the parts of parts and how we move from one scale to the next. Is this why labeling is so detrimental to our arising? Because it stops us from experiencing the more granular parts of parts? Is waking up Steward then about moving from Scale 0 to Scale 1 and Master moving from Scale 1 to 2?

This seems like an important revelation to me, yet I am not quite sure why it feels so important…

    Answer: Great question.

To me, it is simply giving up the bigger, in favor of occupying the smaller, like an Emperor choosing to step down and becoming a servant, whereafter a higher Emperor appears, or a cell, the first independent ruler of life, giving up its “I am everything” status, and voluntarily joining with other cells to become just a lowly part of a tissue, symbolizes the idea of the two deaths that are mentioned in the Bible. But, you are right, it is not really that something has died, but rather, that something has stepped down. And by so doing is able to occupy a higher place.

Yes, labels do have the effect you described. Labels are like focusing, and focusing is like a spotlight, and when the spotlight is turned on, we fail to see the periphery.

That being said, here is some more confusing stuff.

The whole of scale-0 is compacted into the upper story, and then again into the upper half of the upper story. That is, all the notes and cards that appear between the DO to SO of scale-0, reappear between the Do to So of scale-1 in the upper story, and then again between the do to so of scale-2 in the upper story of the upper story, etc., etc., etc.

Notice that the area between DO to SO of scale-0 contains two inner octaves, which occupy HALF of the scale-0 octave, and the SO to DO of scale-0 contains one inner octave, which occupies the other HALF of the scale-0 octave. Amazingly, the cards in the upper half of the scale-0 octave are the same cards that are found in the lower half of the scale-0, which means that the lower half of the scale-0 octave has extended itself, beyond itself; and half, of the upper half of the scale-0 octave, is again, nothing other than itself, extending itself, beyond itself, and so on, and so on.

Relating that to the centers and the cards, the first three centers, the Diamonds, Clubs, and Hearts – the cards between DO to RE to MI, and to FA in scale-0, reappear between the notes SO to LA in scale-0, and then again between the So to La in the inner octave of the upper half of Scale-0, etc., etc., etc. By the way, a similar thing happens to the spades, which too, reappear at higher places. That being said, I think the implications are evident: Higher Centers are made from the unification of lower things.

In fact, we may go so far as saying that the upper HALF of scale-0 does not independently exist, because it is just the lower HALF stacked upon itself again and again.

This extending of itself beyond itself in order to become higher, provides for quite an image. Kind of like the attached LA-TI octaves New.doc, wherein, since octaves can only shove things up to LA, an octave between LA and TI must enter in order to shove them further, which in turn, can only be shoved up to its LA, wherein another octave must enter, etc., etc, etc. Also attached is the original LA-TI octaves–P fix.doc, shoving the aspects of the notes.

    OMG, my mind is melting.

    Love,

    Russ
