KeymasterThe first is called THIRD RESPONSE.
This exercise invites Steward to communicate, which prepares the place for eventual communication with Master.
As we go through life, man is constantly challenged to make responses. He is asked questions by others or compelled to give his input during discussions, etc.
What I now want you to do is to try to listen, not to the first or second responses that come from within you but to hold the place receptive and listen for the third response.
Man’s first response is usually from a jack and is therefore mechanical. His second response is usually from formatory apparatus, which is not only mechanical but opposite or quickly labeled.
If a man can hold out for the third response he is inviting Steward to participate. With three responses man has choice. Perhaps he will determine that his first or second response is the one to use in this situation, but if he does not have three, then there is no choice.
The more you work on this the more you will find that the third response is coming from this impartial observer who has some degree of objectivity. At first it may be necessary to go beyond three responses . . . four, five, etc., to start the communication flowing from this higher place, but once the Steward sees that you are waiting for his input he will be most ready to oblige you.
If you have any questions about this, ask them, and I will try to convey more, but I suspect that you will immediately understand this idea . . . at least Steward will.
The second exercise is called HIGHER FEEDBACK.
This exercise is designed to open the channel to higher Mental center, i.e., Master.
It kind of works like Biofeedback and is done thus:
Take an idea, something you wish to know about; about some moment in your life or about this work or man’s possibilities, the enneagram, octaves, other musical scales, or other big ideas.
Write it down in the form of a succinct question. Keep it as short as possible, but maintain the tzimus of your question. Now most importantly MEMORIZE it!
Find some quiet place and begin. Ask this question to yourself. Hold it and repeat it again and again to yourself pausing and waiting for an answer each time you ask.
This contemplation alerts Steward and begins his asking of the same. The oscillation connecting Steward and Master begins to vibrate like the ripples going down a rope when you whip one end of it.
All of a sudden you hear an answer; an answer that you know comes not from you or Steward but is an indication from something higher. Listen to this answer and most importantly try to MEMORIZE it exactly (you may need to write it down at first but later you will be so receptive that this little addition, as I call it, can be Memorized in the moment).
The Master has begun a response but it is usually not a complete response but only an indication. You must now FEEDBACK the question you were asking and add to it this indication response that you memorized.
Now you are asking the question with the tagged response on the end. Continue asking the question with the tag as we did earlier. Suddenly an additional response will come, which clarifies more of the first response, i.e., takes it a little further.
Again MEMORIZE this response and add it on to the end of the last tag. Now FEED it all BACK: the question; the first tag; and the second. Continue this process.
The Master is compelled to continue responding, perhaps because we have shown him we are not only receptive, but also exact. We FEEDBACK to him exactly what he gave us and he says "you are listening and worthy to have more so I will give you more".
As we progress in opening the channel to the Master he will start giving us longer responses or even complete dissertations, and quite often we are amazed at the clarity of our responses to the world. We get into a state of direct knowing where not even a thought stands between us and what we know.
