    FROM RICK
Hi, Russ, Good class today! I was rereading pgs 109 to 113 in "Life is Real…" And G refers to 7 psychic factors, the first three of which are I can I wish, and " the entire sending of the whole of oneself." (I Am). Do you know what the other 4 factors are or might be? Could you please discuss this in the next class? As I’m sure you know, this is just before he gives his version of the 3-fold attention exercise.

Oh, and a second one: you made it clear that Jerry and I were in the Ti-Do interval. That’s running in the desert! But it doesn’t feel that way to me. More like"don’t do anything unnecessary"? But at the same time, be present for every breath. Can you clarify?

Thank you for your endless encouragement,
    Love, Rick

    FROM ME
    Hello Rick,

I will look into the frist request. But the second refers to what is in the TI-DO interval… that is where Royalty is – the Mechanical part (King) and the Emotional part (Queen) of the Intellectual part (Palace) of the Higher Mental Center.

Secondly, being in the TI-DO interval indicates that one has seen the oasis and is therefore going towards a recognized place of completion.

Going in some other direction would be doing the unnecessary!

    Love,

    Russ

    FROM RICK
    Hi, Russ,

Oh Duh! I think that all that i had to do was write to you and then sleep on it. I just woke up (it’s 4am here) and think my HIgher has laid it out for me, showing me what my confusion was about. So before reading your coming answer to my first question, let me try writing down for you what I just got.

What G said is confusing, because it’s that same old confusion between 6 and 7 centers and how they are constructed that has caused us all so much grief over the years! Double Duh! Of course G is talking about Centers, and would say that there are seven of them… and the construction of the H. E. center as the unification of instinctive, moving, and emotional is not made clear in his exercises because he didn’t have the math, and the card structure.

So this brings me around to continuing Jerry’s riff on the various exercises for men numbers 1,2,3, 4, 5, 6. and 7. While waiting for Pat’s nails to be done, sitting in a nails shops in Marina (near Monterey, CA, where we are staying for 10 days), I had the opportunity to listen to, and follow along with, Gary’s podcast on the I Am exercise. I saw clearly that it was aimed at an audience that had not yet experienced April Fools (that is, humans #s 1,2,3, & 4). And I heard the word "Conscience" mentioned near the end, presaging the unification of those lower 3 centers.

You and Jerry and I have talked about a "6-fold attention exercise", which incorporates the inclusion of the higher emotional and higher intellectual centers. And what i see about the I Am exercise is that it not only could incorporate all the centers, but that it also incorporates the idea of the oscillations: the Personality (major oscillation) and Essence (minor, but superior oscillation) into yet a more full and complete exercise, comprising the whole of a human being, and the "entire sensing of the whole of oneself" that G speaks about. (Not ‘sending’ as i wrote above — that was a correction by my phone of my one finger typing that i missed…)

Which brings me to my Sincere Request. Would you please be willing to write up a complete version of the Six-fold Attention exercise, and of the I Am exercise? That is, one aimed at those of us who have completed your program and reached the stage of Double or Nothing 2? As I’m hearing such an "I Am #6 or #7" exercise, it would encapsulate briefly the unification of the 3 first centers into Conscience, then the addition of the Intellectual Center as the mechanical part of the Higher Mental Center, and then finally, the inclusion of Royalty as the Higher Mental Center itself is included into the I AM exercise, and the possibility of a fully unified being emerges. And it would include the sense of the distinction between essence and personality all the way up…..

Zowie… it gives me shivers just thinking about it. Not that we haven’t been working on just that– we have been. But to have it all laid out clearly in a couple of exercises, as you have done so beautifully for all those exercises leading up to April Fools — well, I AM looking forward to that!! I know they will knock my socks off!

I think coming here to Monterey seems to be inspirational for me. This is where I first realized that Tereschenko was full of BS, and wrote to ask if you could direct us to "someone who could help us understand Cosmic Secrets" — just 4 years ago, in the fall of 2015, while i was engaged in the remodel of the Subud hall. Seems like a century ago, eh??

Would you please give my musings a review, Russ, as you have so consistently always done, and think about putting together those 2 more extended exercises for us in a finished form, as you are doing so beautifully with Gary for the earlier ones? I’m giddy at the thought.

PS: regarding my second question and your answer: I definitely am clearly going toward the "recognized place of completion", and see that going anywhere else would be a foolish waste of time, but the sense of running in the desert while completely exhausted seems to be missing. Maybe it’s just overlaid by the joy of seeing the finish line to this very long octave…. but it feels somehow more easy, perhaps more like the growing of fruit on an orange tree after the bees have done their work? Just a natural fulfillment of what it could be to be a real human being? Maybe even like coming Home?? (That one brings tears to my eyes…)

    Your thoughts?

    Love you so much…
    Forrest

    FROM JERRY
    Hi Forrest,

Thank you for including me in this latest email. I am looking forward to Russ’s response.

In working with Ruth, the distinction between 4th and 5th Ways has become more and more apparent. Like Russ describes about his own life in “Blessed Injustice, Ruth’s experience with Deputy Steward is brief. It is obvious to her that Nicoll, Ouspensky and Pema Chodron are talking to a different audience and that if she is not careful, the tone of these writings and podcasts tend to pull her out of her ”secret garden”. You and I, however, lived for 46 years in the Deputy Steward interval; aka, the Harnel Aoot in the large octave of man’s possible evolution. We have been baked, barbequed, microwaved, fried, boiled, sautéed, and steamed. Cleansing myself of the views, habits and identity formed by that lengthy experience is an ongoing process. Continuing to see that I am in the presence of “new ideas” is an ongoing need. In that regard, our reading groups devoted to Gurdjieff and Ouspensky are somewhat double edged. If I am not careful, I mix them, and in so doing create muddle and confusion.

Fortunately, we have the framework of Cosmic Secrets and can sort the peas from the ashes, but that is possible only when I remember who “I AM” as a result of April Fools and DoNut’s I and II.

When I sort the peas from the ashes, I see the journey from Steward to Master, i.e., the LA-TI interval in the large scale of man’s possible evolution, in a different light. Unlike you and I, Russ spent multiple years in his journey from Steward to Master. I imagine the death of his “I AM” as Steward might have been similar to the death of my “Work Personality” as Deputy Steward. For me, the LA-TI, with the taste of “coming to nothing” was relatively easy. True, it has taken me awhile to adjust to that freedom and part of that process has centered on occupying the LA-TI interval of man; i.e., “living in the world but not of it”; i.e., assimilating the data of a NEW WORLD and a NEW ME and dying to the data of the OLD WORLD AND THE OLD ME; i.e., living with conscience, reason and impartiality. What I am seeing is that the journey “to awake, to die and to be reborn” is a description that correlates to the psychological experience of completing each inner octave in the large octave of man’s possible evolution as well as to the large octave itself. It is this not seeing to scale that creates much confusion; i.e., which birth, which death, which rebirth? Each inner octave is similar but distinct from the already arisen. So too, the exercises of the 5th Way…

    Well, I do carry on.

Enjoy your 7th Day of Rest in Monterrey. You seem to do some your best work there…

    Run Forrest Run…
    Love,

    Jerry

FROM ME – Email on 11/1/19
    Just a ‘briefy’,

Don’t take "Running in the desert" as an actual physical event. More like, "the place of completion has been seen," after which, one moves directly towards it.

Indeed, someone may "run in the desert" towards the oasis, when they see it, or they may walk, or they may crawl… but their direction will always be the same -TOWARDS THE OASIS – never away.

Seeing the oasis means that one is infused with a force of certainty after sensing the possibility of completion.

Okay, another tidbit, the 7 psychic factors.

#1: "I can" = bottom story, RE-MI interval, instinctive/moving centers, "the ability is in the carriage (can)."

#2: "I wish" = middle story, MI-FA interval, emotional center, "the power is in the horse (wish)."

#3: "I am" = middle story FA-SO interval (mislabeled by the work as being in the upper story), intellectual center, "the knowledge is in the driver (am)."

#4: "I can wish" = upper story, SO-LA interval, higher emotional center – the unification of the instinctive/moving centers (can) and the emotional center (wish)… conscience/morality. The passenger proclaims the destination.

You may not so easily follow the following, but if you really ponder the structure… perhaps you might.

#5: "I am can wish I am [king]" = upper story, LA-TI interval, where reason merges with impartiality; and, a subjugated version of itself. That is, the first two parts of the higher mental center, the mechanical part – the intellectual center (am), and the emotional part – the higher emotional center (can wish) unify, then, also unify with a subjugated version of intellectual canter itself, i.e., a second J, Q, K, and A of spades – a higher (am) that is also in the LA-TI interval, and represents the mechanical part of the intellectual part of the higher mental center, i.e., the King.

Reason and impartiality constitute master who, himself, is a subject of the King.

The master is the rightful owner of the horse and carriage, and is the employer of the driver… and encourages the driver to only pick up proper fares, like those in front of the palace.

The King, who is the mechanical part of the intellectual part of the higher mental center, the (am), completes himself in the LA-TI interval; and, although he stands on the cusp, is, technically, completed before the TI-DO interval begins.

NOTE: The King is destined to run the kingdom; and, although, at TI, he can see the oasis, his first action towards completion, i.e., his first act past TI, is to choose a Queen, for completion requires the making of future Kings.

#6: "I can wish I am can wish I am [mother of a king]" = upper story, TI-DO interval, the Queen (can wish) has the same power as the King (am) should the King die – plus, by decree of marriage runs the King; and, is therefore, technically, superior to the King… i.e., she too, as she is within the TI-DO interval, can see the destiny of the kingdom, and can thus steer the King and the kingdom towards its destiny… by producing future Kings.

Technically, the TI-DO interval contains only two parts of parts, an emotional part and an intellectual part. Why? Because its mechanical part was completed within the LA-TI interval. That part ended at the TI, at the Ace of Spades.

We do not, as of yet, have a seventh name for the psychic function of the intellectual part of the intellectual part of the higher mental center, that is, for the TI-DO interval of the TI-DO interval.

Perhaps the chart of oscillations will give more clarity to the names of these psychic functions. But, for now, know this, only the Queen resides within the TI-DO interval and occupies the place we have been calling "Royalty". Whereas the King, who at completion stands on the cusp at TI, began his formation in the LA-TI interval. Cusp guys are tricky, like man who stands on the cusp between the physical and spiritual, or soil who is on the cusp between non-living and alive.

Ok, I have rambled on long enough; and, I am sure, by now, I have everyone thoroughly confused.

I do, however, know what salt tastes like… even though I cannot describe it.

As it says in Cosmic Secrets:

Here, we shall add that it is possible with a thorough understanding of these laws to become harmonious with them; to establish in oneself a mental codification predicated on the different inner tastes of these tonalities that includes a particular organized way of being able to perceive cognitively and respond impartially.

    Love,

    Russ

Wow, Russ, what a reply! Thank you!! I will be chewing on this for quite a while, with the card chart in my hands. When I’ve spent some time absorbing all of this, perhaps I’ll even have some sensible questions.

In the meanwhile, it suffices to see how much you have thought about this, and that it is a rich field for inquiry. I was particularly struck by the idea that only the Queen really finds her home in the Ti-Do interval, and that the King is a"cusp guy" below her… Let me set with that for a while, and see if i can make some sense out of it via the structure.

It certainly seems to agree with my experience that the Queen was at an entirely new level, that of Royalty.

Thank you, as always for giving more in your answer than was asked for in the question.

    Love, Forrest

PS… Also liked the idea that it is certainty of the Direction that matters, not whether you are staggering, walking, or flying. Thank you for that.

Fable: a response to Russ’s email of 11/1/19

Well, Russ, that was SOME TIDBIT of a reply!! Of course it is 7 intervals, not 7 notes. And this is clearly also the Octave of Organic Life itself. The desert-like DO-RE interval ends with our old friend, DN-RE, and Life (or my life) begins. It is also clear that “I can” is both the instinctive and moving centers (RE-MI), that MI-FA is the “I wish” of the emotional center, that FA-SO is the “I am” of the driver and intellectual center, and that SO-LA is the “I can wish” of the Higher Emotional Center, coming into being at the note LA.

However, from here on, I’d like to try a different style of writing: the fable or fairy tale, which I’ve loved since my childhood. I have the feeling there might be more meaning conveyed thereby.

And so, “Once upon a time….”

We first find our hero as a young prince, leaving his home, thinking that his father is a bit of an old fool, and an unpleasant one at that. He’s off to seek adventures in the world. Not surprisingly, things do not go altogether well for him. He finds the world a much larger and scarier place than he had thought, where adventures are not often rewarded with gold or damsels in distress.

When our story opens, he has been searching for a very long time, and not finding much. Along the way, he has worked here and there at various farms and other businesses, and has acquired an old farm horse, (a beat up old nag, to be truthful), an old and rusty sword, and at some village along the way, a young boy who thinks that this young man needs a squire.

“But I’m not a knight,” protests our young man, “and I don’t need a squire.” “Oh, but you will become one,” says the boy confidently. “Just let me tag along. I can be useful, I promise, and there’s no place for me here at home anyway.” ”OK, but just for now,” our young adventurer replies, “ but I’m not promising anything. Not even a good adventure, most likely.” And so the two set off.

They wander, for years actually, trying this and that, looking for wisdom and adventure, but finding little but heartache. Our fellow has heard of a wondrous land called Shangri-La, said to be high in the mountains, protected from the weather, where there are Green Pastures even in the midst of Winter. Though many people claim to know how to get there, no one seems to have actually been there. And every lead that they follow comes only to the deadest of ends. They are both no longer either young, or eager. In fact, they have both become terribly discouraged and are considering giving up the quest altogether.

But one day, looking into a magic mirror the aging prince has discovered along the way, he finds tales of a wise man who might yet know the Way to Shangri-La. Unwilling to give up quite yet, the prince asks the magic mirror if this wise man is yet to be found – the prince is still willing to go on one last adventure, as is his faithful, aging, would-be squire, who has now even taken on the duties of a deputy steward – all unpaid, of course. The mirror responds: “Yes, this man is yet

to be found, in a mysterious and unknown land which you have never visited, the land of TX ”. Our hero gets this news in the summer of the year, and it takes them a while to get ready for the journey. Eventually they have packed all of their bags onto the poor old horse, and have set off once again. “Probably another wild goose chase,” grouses the would-be squire.

Soon they find themselves in the strange land of TX, which is green and hot and really unfamiliar. But surprise of surprises, when they come to the place the mirror has told them about, there is an old guy there, who claims to be the very wise man they are looking for. “I hear you are looking for Shangri-La”, he says. “Why, yes”, says our hero, “I am. How did you know??” “They all are,” says the old guy. “But it isn’t really called Shangri-La, you know. Just LA.” “Really,” comments our skeptical hero, “and it isn’t even in the mountains, I’ll bet.” “That’s right, too,” says the old guy. Well,” asks our lad,” what do you know about it then, this wonderful land of LA? And are there always Green Pastures there, even in Winter?” “I’ve been there,” comes the answer, “ and at least you got that part right: there are green pastures there, even in winter.” “You have?? Really? (First time anyone ever said that!), “ thinks the prince – “Can you show ME how to get there?”

”Yes, and I will even give you a map and a compass that always points in the right direction,” answers the old man. “You’re on,” says our hero. “What have I got to lose?”

And so he begins. It turns out the old guy wants a lot of work first (surprise, surprise, nothing new there!), and it is springtime before the old geezer declares that he is ready to show our lad how to get to the Land of LA. But by now, he has finally convinced our hero that he really MIGHT know how to get there. So one fine day, just at the very beginning of April, the old man spins our lad around a few times, teaches him a magic exercise and WHAMMO!!, our lad appears in the land of LA!!

He is so shocked and freaked out that he can’t speak for a whole day. In this new and wondrous land, where there are indeed Green Pastures even in Winter, he comes upon a marvelous castle. In the castle, he finds a beautiful Queen, who tells him that this is NOT the end of his adventures, but only the very beginning. In fact, it turns out that the land of LA has been plagued by Dragons for as long as she can remember, and that in all of the villages throughout the land, people live in fear of them. “At last,” thinks our hero, “an Adventure worth the undertaking!”

“Will you have me as your knight,” he asks the Queen, “and allow me to serve you and to hunt down these dragons that have been destroying your land?”

“Yes, I will”, answers the Queen, and knights him on the spot. And so our would-be squire becomes a real Squire at last. “You know,” says our no-longer-so-young man, now a knight, to the Queen, “I never even asked your name!” “My true name is ‘I-can-wish’,” she replies, “but I don’t tell that to just anybody.” “I won’t forget,” says our new knight, “ and I won’t tell just anybody either.”

“Before you go, you must rest up,” says the Queen, “and your horse is a fright!” As indeed he is, the poor old nag. So the prince rests up, feeds and grooms his horse, packs food for his journeys, and turns again to the wise old man of LA, who is miraculously there also. “I really know nothing about hunting dragons,” the prince admits. “Can you help me?” “Of course,” says the wise old guy, “Been waiting for you to ask.”

And so the wise man of LA proceeds to give our hero all manner of tools and weapons, maps, food, and a compass, and helps him to pack his saddlebags with everything he will need to slay dragons. Finally, our hero and his transformed Squire are ready to set off. “Good luck,” the old
man says. “Remember, dragons are sneaky bastards! And always, know that help is available – do remember the magic mirror, and remember to ask.” He winks, smiles his crooked smile, and goes back into the castle.

Well, again, slaying dragons turns out not to be so easy, either. They ARE sneaky bastards! Expert at camouflage, deceit, and ambush, they have been breeding in the countryside for generations. It seems they are hiding under almost every rock. But our hero’s sword has been cleaned and straightened, and the old man’s weapons are the best for slaying dragons that have ever been invented! Still, there are a lot of them, and it takes time. A long time. But slowly, the land of LA grows more prosperous: fields that were fallow and blasted by dragons’ breath become again fecund; the villagers no longer live in fear; and there have been no more tales of dragons for some time.

So the knight returns to the castle to see how things are going there. It turns out there is work to be done there, too. Some of the courtiers have been in the service of dragons for years. There is corruption and bribery and thieving that has gone on unchecked all during the dragons’ reign.
But now the disreputable courtiers are in disarray. It doesn’t take the bold knight long to send them packing in disgrace. He is wondering what to tackle next, when a messenger arrives from his old home: his father, the King, is dying.

This throws our knight into a bit of a panic. He has successfully avoided considering his responsibilities to his own kingdom and family for some time. And he finds himself quite grief stricken, having realized by now that his father was not at all the unpleasant old fool he had taken him for as a young man. He realizes that he must go home. The Queen agrees: he has obligations to fulfill. But he also realizes that he has no idea of how to get home! He has arrived in the land of LA by magic, after all. Back to the old wise guy it is.

The wise man of LA has been waiting for him, not surprisingly: he seems always to be several steps ahead of our hero. “Yes,” he says, “of course you need to get home. But you can’t go back the way you came. I happen to have a couple of more gifts for you, which should help a great deal.” The first gift, a small tool which fits neatly into the knight’s pocket, turns out to be a miniature miracle: it can turn hostile, unhealthy situations into beneficent ones in a trice: just take it out and shake it! It takes a bit of practice to learn to use it, though, and the old guy won’t let him leave until he has mastered it. Finally, he agrees that the knight has got the hang of it at last. “You’re ready for the Second Gift,” he tells the knight, handing him a small black bag. “Go ahead, look inside!”

“But it’s empty!”, says the surprised knight, “there’s Nothing in there!” “So true,” replies the wise man of LA, “but it is nonetheless very precious.” “I’m not sure I get it”, says the knight, “but you have never steered me wrong. I’ll guard it with my life! But what do I do with it??” “Keep it with you at all times. It will tell you where to go. When you are in a quandary, open the bag and listen closely, for as long as is necessary. It will never fail you.” “Wow,” says the bewildered knight, “Really?? Is this really so important?” “It is the most precious thing I’ve ever given you,” replies the older, wiser man. “Use it always.”

“And, Son,” he says, fixing the young king-to-be with his most penetrating look, “Earn this.”

“I will, Sir,” says the prince, and means it.

The next morning, just as the prince is about to set off on his journey home, having packed uncomplaining and now splendidly healthy horse, another messenger arrives at the castle. His father has died. Now indeed, the prince can waste no further time. He sets off at dawn with a heavy heart, his faithful Squire at his side.

Almost immediately, he is lost. He is in completely uncharted and unfamiliar territory, and there are many turnings and forks in the Way. Frequently he has to stop and take out the little black bag and listen carefully. Sometimes it takes a long time to get a reply. But always, if he waits, it indicates the right way to go. It is indeed a very strange way to travel. He never knows what is going to happen next! Sometimes there are unexplainable detours…. And he has to help people he doesn’t even know!….. After a while, though, the process becomes more familiar, as things
do, and he and the bag grow to be companions, almost friends. (Although the bag’s utter silence is still rather disconcerting on occasion.) One day, after a particularly exhausting and difficult day, the young king and his squire come over a rise, and…..

Suddenly, before them, there is a familiar landmark: an unusual mountain that the prince remembers from his childhood!

With a shout of joy, the prince spurs his horse forward, crosses a small stream, and he knows instantly that he is in the kingdom of TI, a neighboring country to his own beloved kingdom of DO. Oddly, he has never been there before, or known anyone who has been (except probably that mysterious old wise man). Although said to be near his own kingdom, TI seems to be a magically hidden place, quite inaccessible by any ordinary means. It has been rumored, or prophesied, that in this country lives the most beautiful Princess in the world. But no-one has ever even known her name or indeed, whether she is only a figment of some romantic troubadour’s overactive imagination. And yet, here he is, undeniably in the land of TI!

The young king is determined to find out if the old rumors and prophecies are true. At the nearest farm, he inquires about the way to the royal castle. “You can see it from here,” says the farmer, pointing. “But you know, it’s surprising how few visitors we see.” The young king spurs his horse forward yet again. He and his squire are tired and dirty from the journey, hardly fit to appear in a royal court, but he has to go. Clutching the bag that contains nothing at all, he approaches the castle door, knowing that this bag would never lead him to the wrong place. Fearlessly, he knocks on the castle door……

Well, folks, I think we all know what happens after that. There is a real princess, and she is 7 times more beautiful than the young king had thought it possible for any woman, however blessed, to be. He falls in love with her immediately and forever. And by some miracle, such as only happens in real fairy tales, she agrees to become his Queen. (As we, dear reader, knew she would.) So we draw the curtain on our tale at this point, as the rest is too private to bear telling. Suffice it to say that great is the joy, and long the celebrations, in the kingdoms of both TI and DO, and even in all of their farthest neighbors, including, of course, the faraway kingdoms of LA, SO, FA, MI, and even RE. The wise man of LA smiles his crooked smile. Things have worked out just as he had hoped.

But surely, you say, there is at least one secret you can tell us from this sacred time of rejoicing: What was the young Queen’s real name??

Of course, the young King has not forgotten to ask this vital question. “What is your true name”, he blurts out, just after recovering from his overwhelming joy at receiving her agreement to marry him, “the one you have never told anyone else?”

“My true name is,” his beautiful bride replies, “I-can-wish—I-am-can-wish—I-am.” “But don’t tell anyone else.” “I won’t, Beloved,” promises the King. “It is the most beautiful name I have ever heard.”

And did they live Happily Ever After?? Perhaps…. but that is another Story.

Thanks for reading all of this, Russ. It just flowed in as I made the trip from Monterey to and from my sister’s home 3 hours to the south, just yesterday and today. What a treat. Thank you for your wonderful reply to my questions!!

    FROM RUSS
    I apologize Rick,

In a previous email I started to explain the 7 psychic factors… and then went all techno on you. I tried to get super precise – concerning what exactly was in each interval, and then constructed elaborate names that reflected their content.

Hey, it was some clever reasoning… and, it was accurate.

It did stimulate in you the grand fable of your journey, which touched me; and, caused me to post it in the Archive. But, then again, the technocrat in me started to rip it apart – down to every note an every interval, in my attempt to make it match my elaborately constructed names, and to portray, as I saw it, the journey of your awakening and potential completion, I queried why you said this and why you said that… and even suggested changes. Darn it Russell (speaking to me) if you want it to convey your accuracies, write it yourself.

Then it hit me, I was ruining your perfectly lovely fable. So I shall stop. I will leave the fable of your journey in the archive, as is.

    /bow

OK, back to the original and simpler explanation of the 7 Psychic Factors, which we already knew, since it is one of THEDOG Training Exercises formulated in the 1980’s.

The first three psychic factors are the parts:

#1: "I can" = bottom story, the RE-MI interval, instinctive/moving centers, "the ability is in the carriage (can)."

#2: "I wish" = middle story, the MI-FA interval, emotional center, "the power is in the horse (wish)."

#3: "I am" = middle story FA-SO interval (mislabeled by the work as being in the upper story), intellectual center, "the knowledge is in the driver (am)."

The next three psychic factors are their connections:

#4: "I can wish" = upper story, the SO-LA interval, higher emotional center – the unification of the instinctive/moving centers (can) and the emotional center (wish)… conscience/morality. The carriage is connected to the horse.

#5: "I am wish" = upper story, the first part of the LA-TI interval, higher mental center – when a man (I am) starts to double his emotions, his wish. "I am intellectual capable of controlling my horse with just the reins, with just visualization. Hey, I will imagine the guy is rushing to the hospital to save his daughter." I am now master of the "wish."

#6: "I am can" = upper story, the last part of the LA-TI interval, higher mental center – when a man (I am) starts to become nothing, he is finally able to stop his carriage, his can, by simply pulling on the brake. "I am not only capable of stopping my carriage… I even know how to lock the brake. Hey, we ain’t going nowhere." We is nothing.

The final psychic factor is not about the function of the parts nor the function of their connections, but rather, it is about the functioning of the whole, as a whole.

#7: "I am can wish" = upper story, the TI-DO interval, when the previous parts of the higher mental center become its third part – "God is his own third part". "All for one, and One for all." The destination is perceived… and in the words of the "Great All Quarters Maintainer Arch Cherub Helkgematios, who, long ago, had become the first being in the Universe to merit the Sacred Anklad; that is, to attain the eighteenth gradation of reason – the degree of reason which was third after the reason of our Endlessness and which was everywhere believed to be ‘the highest gradation of reason that any independent individual could attain’…" was asked the question "…Having become…the first to become…all that you can possibly become – and now, having, for so long, been…all that you can possibly be…what next?"

"The Great Arch Cherub Helkgematios…sat silently – appearing to be in a state of deep reflection – then, looking in the direction of the Sun Absolute and in a tone of surprised realization, he simply said, ‘I start over.’ Afterwhich, he stood up and disappeared".

So, keep your eyes on the Holy Sun Absolute, the destination, until you disappear.

    Love,

    Russ
