[scrivs] I had a dream about octaves last nite. All theat remains is that they all balanced on SO. They folded there too. Sheer nonsense!

[SteveW] Any best moments to share?

[bubbles] Having the Perrotts here has to be best in a while

[SteveW] bubbles> I heard that there was quite a party to celebrate their arrival.

[Tony] Class was pretty good this week

[scrivs] Bubbles> Why so mon ami ? What have the Perrotts done to deserve such acclaim ? !!

[SteveW] My best moment was seeing just how insignificant we are, on the scale of the universe as a whole.

[bubbles] scrivs> Just gives me a chance to work on a foreign language!

[Tony] SteveW> What prompted that seeing?

[SteveW] bubbles> England and America are two nations divided by a common language.

[scrivs] One best moment was when the younger ( 8 years old ) brother of a recently departed ( but still breathing ) choirboy asked me if I’like to go round his home to play Zelda! I was,( briefly) the Delphic Oracle of the game .

[SteveW] Tony> I was doing memory work from The Fourth Way and it includes a peroration on the topic of “justice”. Take the scale of the whole universe and how can anything on Earth be “just” or “unjust” on that scale?

[bubbles] SteveW> Ain’t truth a wunnerful thang?

[SteveW] scrivs> I hope you didn’t tell him anything that he would be better finding out by himself.

[SteveW] bubbles> Lordy, yes!

[scrivs] SW> Ha !! He is just so ( apparently ) cool and innocent.

[scrivs] SW> Your statement re. justice was rhetorical?

[Tony] I had a moment when I saw how much energy goes in to constructing and worrying about the future and what a relief it would be not to do it if we could only feel ‘safe’ enough

[SteveW] Tony> Yes. And how often has the worrying been necessary?

[scrivs] Tony> Terrific ! That must have been a relief .

[scrivs] Tony. ‘ ..concentrate your attention on the step you are taking, if you do not wish to fall over the precipice ‘.

[SteveW] If we have no questions to discuss among us, it would be best to stop, rather than make small talk. So, any questions?

[scrivs] Does anyone have a good relevant definition of ‘ Prolegomenon’?

[Tony] The other one was helping a chap in my job (care worker) change the batteries in his remote controle. It took at least 15 minutes just with verbal prompts. It is amazing what we take for granted. I could have done it in 2 seconds and not realized i had done it.

[scrivs] SW> Agreed.

[scrivs] Ok. Think I know the answer but….HOW does Nature ‘pay off the debt ‘?

[SteveW] scrivs> It seems to me that any work of a positive kind establishes a lower with which an appropriate higher can blend. Seem reasonable?

[scrivs] SW> Fine. But what do you say? My defn. includes Cosmic Secrets ideas.

[Tony] SteveW> Theory: XJ (scale?) =subconscious, JO (scale?) = superconscious

[SteveW] Tony> Theory = Question? or Theory = Statement!

[scrivs] Sw> Yes. My idea was about the ‘fact’ that if you get to Ti, then you get kicked up to the ‘higher RE’.

[Tony] SteveW> ?

[SteveW] Tony> Are you making a statement or asking a question?

[Tony] SteveW> Sorry, it is a question

[SteveW] scrivs> How does the octave get to TI and what takes it through DO to RE?

[SteveW] Tony> What is commonly called the “subconscious” is actually that part of our psyche that should be conscious. Until we work on this and “illuminate the factory” we have no chance of any meaningful contact with any “superconscious”.

[SteveW] Tony> There is currently a fashion to assume that man’s greater moments of intuition come from some “superconscious” mind. This is imagination. It comes from what can be made conscious and will then function as Reason.

[Tony] SteveW> The reason why I labled the H.E. sub and the H.M. super was their location in the octave of man (cards)

[scrivs] SW> Dunno right now. You’ve caught me out there. That’s not been a question til now. Ta! My first atake is that ascension is via lesser scales. One possibility.The devil is in the detail, may express that . Or not. OK . What’s your view ?

[scrivs] SW> Of course., the firing up, so to say, of higher shock octaves also enables ascension.

[SteveW] Tony> If you take the cards as representing all of organic life then the XJ in scale ? represents the duplicating principle – the (mechanical) necessity that created DNA.

[SteveW] Tony> If you take the cards as representing the LA-TI stopinder of organic life then the XJ in scale ? represents the fact that man starts as a social animal.

[Tony] SteveW> Do you have a definition for what the subconscious is and what its function is in man?

[SteveW] scrivs> Yes, lesser (finer) scales are part of ascension but what about the grandfather oscillation? Also, what fills TI-DO for an ascending octave?

[scrivs] Sw> Grandad is fine . So is a corresponding MI-FA.

[SteveW] Tony> It doesn’t have a “function” as such – it should be part of our conscious psyche but is not, unless we make it so, by work.

[Tony] SteveW> but what does it do?

[SteveW] scrivs> So, we do our “work” in the major oscillation but it can either be for external results or internal results, according to the particularity of the H’oot.

[scrivs] SW> Grandad can take me to the limit of my existence, such as I am. From there I get into a gloopy mush like a chrysalis and come out with a changed body/being .

[scrivs] SW > Agreed.

[scrivs] SW> One has to be careful not to get ‘opposite results’.

[SteveW] scrivs> Between LA and TI there is a “refinement” of the internal results until they satisfy some requirement that enters from outside the octave (through DO-TI). We call this influence “the completing principle” but what is it?

[scrivs] SW> The picture on the box.

[SteveW] Tony> Think about the octave. There is a “gap” at MI-FA, which needs a shock. If the shock is not present then only a tiny trickle of “stuff” gets across – going up. What would that signify for the psyche?

[scrivs] If you don’t know what it is , you can’t have it . I was told.

[SteveW] scrivs> Yup.
