Transcription Legend

Recordings of Russell Smith taking students through Cosmic Secrets have been transcribed. Thus, you now have in your possession the exact form and sequence that Russell follows when he takes students on the journey. Most of Gurdjieff: Cosmic Secrets has been inserted in BROWN text. RED texts are instructions from Russell to those who are teaching his book. BLUE texts are quotes, questions to students, or for emphasis. ORANGE texts are the students’ answers, comments, or questions. In addition, most of the first-person references (that is, when Russell said “I” as he was taking students through Cosmic Secrets) have been changed to read “Russell” – to be third person. So that the teachers of his book can simply read this merged teaching guide and teach it in third person.

Predicate: When people meet an awakened man, they often sense there is something different about him. As a result, they will pursue him in hopes of learning how they, themselves, can become different.
