As we traverse the intricate terrain of the law of octaves, which by the way creates the underlying structure of the Universe, we will not only be going upscale (Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, and Do) like in music, but we will also be traveling perpendicular – across many scales.

To help the intuitive traveler find his way, the upper and lower cases of the notes, in various diagrams and text, have been coded to reflect the scale that they are in. That way, if we are talking about a note in a specific scale, it will be easy for you to find.
